Young people’s literacy :
A fundamental value that has to be transmitted
The Fondation de l’Académie du Trésor will hold its first fund raising campaign this fall.
The campaign aims at financing the development of operations and to establish an endowment fund in order to ensure the sustainability of activities and programs offered by the Académie du Trésor.
Financial literacy is defined as « having the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to take responsible financial decisions ». We are all aware of the importance of financial literacy, even more when it concerns the youth of our country.
Our organization registration number is :
Upon federal Financial minister Jim Flahery’s request, the work group on financial literacy, that came out in 2010, recommended to make large efforts to increase our people’s economic skills, and to do it as soon as primary school.
That is our most important mission at the Académie du Trésor. We are launching this campaign to help as many young canadian students as possible to graduate.
